I think the true worth of an artist is always evident in their work but friends have told me that it's important that potential clients know that I am not a trouble maker or parking inspector. I can assure you that I am neither of those things although I once did inspect someones parking... it was only a one off incident though and it didn't reflect in my work.

I was born in Eastbourne, South of England and at the age of two I emigrated to Melbourne, Australia where I grew up big and strong. At the age of 18 I enrolled in a Fine Art college. After one year I decided painting was never going to make me any money and so started a year of Graphic Design. After a year I decided I was a crap designer and started a Drawing Course. This was too much like the Fine Art Course I'd left earlier. After spending my days drawing I would spend my evenings working in a muffin factory. My muffins were good but my drawings were bad. I would have liked to draw muffins but again there was no money in it. I still could if there is anyone out there who needs their muffins drawn. Anyway, that was a bad year and I left the Drawing Course. Muffins weren't as fulfilling as they first promised to be. I began working with some friends landscape gardening and house renovating. Before long I was doing their technical drawings and plans. It was a happy time but I needed to do more drawing and this time I found the right course for me. It was a Finished Art Degree and it included several lessons a week of illustration. Yippee! In 1989 I completed the course and had myself a degree. I thought it would be a good idea to learn how to use a computer and enrolled at NightRiders Graphic Designers and Computer Tuition. They taught me Quark and at the end of my two weeks I had impressed the head man to such a degree that he offered me a job as their in-house freelance illustrator. I've been a freelance illustrator ever since. Through necessity I have taught myself Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Painter and InDesign as well as a myriad of lesser known programs. I have also enjoyed developing my traditional artistic skills.
In 1996 I came back to England and began building up a client base in London. I have a studio in Hackney where I enjoy painting pictures of old cars and retro women. I live in South London with my wife and dog.
Some of my clients include Mars Confectionery, Tesco's, M&S, Pan Macmillan, Scholastic Children's Books, Wolff Evens Design, MGA, BBP&H, Crown, Direct Design, STV International, Code London, Marvel Comics, Think Publishing and many more.
